This race was a special one as we returned to one of the most historic RC drag racing locations in San Diego where many local racers made their very first passes. We brought back night racing and ran both Limited and Run All classes on the newly paved surface. The unique cul-de-sac made for exciting side-by-side racing and a fun night of competition. 🔥ALL OUTLAW🔥 This was one of the biggest experiments we’ve ever tried at San Diego RC Drag Racing! For the first time ever, we combined Prep Outlaw and Limited Outlaw into one ALL OUTLAW class. The Prep cars stayed in a full prep lane, while the Limited cars raced in their own PJ1-only lane. After a full morning of testing, we settled on a 0.19-second split that was built directly into the timing system on a .400 Pro Tree. The goal was to create competitive racing while allowing both classes to race together without changing what makes each class unique. Did it work? 🤔 Watch the video and let us know what you think!
