We’re getting ready for the Finals Mega Race in San Diego! This is one of the biggest RC drag racing events of the year, featuring three classes, including Open Prep, Dry Tire Outlaw and VXL Dry Tire. Because this is such a large event, we’re introducing the Lexan Test to keep things fair and stop prep from sneaking into the dry tire classes. In this video, I walk you through the process, test different thicknesses of Lexan (1/16”, 1/8”, and 1/4”), and even try to cheat the system with alcohol and prep to prove why the 1/4” Lexan sheet is the official choice for the Finals. This test is simple, fast, and fair making sure the racing stays competitive and honest.
